Printmaking became a huge part of my life in 2003 when I took my first class with Kim Bauer at the University of Texas at El Paso. It continues to inform my practice as both a medium for honing skills and a set of technical skills to solve unique problems. I stay active within the print community by participating in exchanges, something I continue to advocate for as an affordable way to show and collect work. I helped run a yearly art exchange with Leigh Rector and Joshua Flores for three years as a way to help foster these opportunities for others. I am currently taking a break from participating in most exchanges and from helping to host, but anticipate other projects in the future.
